I enjoy my aviaries and birds! This is going to be another brief post. I
haven't been sharing the birds and what I love to do in a long time! Train
birds flight and recall training. I had a calling the other day from the
man upstairs. I think he purposely guided me to do a stupid thing. Now this is
what happened. I feed all the birds and always latch the two doors at
aviaries. The door and the double door entry. Well not always as I have
screwed up a few times. But, this time I am going to share. I fed the birds
and walked out and was gone for nearly two hours. Came back and doors were
open and Gus and Gilly gone!!!!
I have had one out in tree before "Gus" and no worries as he is just going to
hang out. Nobody to fly with and all are in aviaries so why would he take off?
But now I have two out. I looked for them and called and whistled. Gus!!!
Gilly!!! I don't see them in a yard full of trees. Then I look up in the tree
next to the aviary and there they are :).
I always have almonds on me! Good thing! I pulled out my camera and took a
picture and some video and you get to see. What you don't see is Gilly got on
my hand and I am taking him to aviary and Gus flew on my right shoulder to go
with me and his brother. I had no worries about catching them.
But, while they were out there I did get scared they could be attacked by a
local coopers hawk. Lately, there has been a pair of hanging around. It didn't
happen and all is good! They are safe in the aviaries now.
